English literature from the 20th century to the Present

The objective of the course is to introduce the most representative movements and authors of 20th and 21st-century English literature in relation to the historical, social, and cultural context in which they are situated, allowing for an understanding of the evolution and diversity of English literature.

Through reading, commenting on, and discussing the most representative works of the literary movements that have occurred during this period, students will be able to enjoy reading in English and discover the cultural and historical aspects of the last hundred years that have most influenced English literature.

Additionally, the course aims for students to enrich their English vocabulary, deepen their knowledge of the language, and improve oral communication skills.

John Fowles, The French Lieutenant’s Woman.

Kazuo Ishiguro, Never Let Me Down.

Salman Rushdie, The Golden House.

Jhumpa Lahiri, Unaccustomed Earth.

John Osborne, Look Back in Anger.


Matrícula definitiva, por orden de solicitud, hasta completar la totalidad de las plazas.
